Periodontal Services

Gum disease can be serious and it leads to a loss of teeth and supporting bone and tissue structures. Untreated or uncontrolled gum disease has been linked to increased risk factors in patients with heart disease and diabetes as well as complications for expectant mothers. For example, low birth weight babies have been reported to mothers who have uncontrolled periodontal disease. A variety of treatment options are available depending on the severity of the disease. Often they can be done without referral to a specialist. However, certain levels of disease severity may require the intervention of a specialist. We will diagnose your disease, provide information on the type of treatment needed and keep you informed of any changes.
